Job Title: Business Analyst – Wealth Management
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite, 5 Days/Week)
Type: Contract (6–12 Months, Extension Possible)

 

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain knowledge in Wealth Management to support business requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution delivery across digital and advisory platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with portfolio managers, product teams, and technology teams in a fast-paced financial environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders, advisors, product owners, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support Wealth Management initiatives across investment products, client onboarding, compliance, portfolio reporting, and advisor platforms.
  • Conduct gap analysis, data mapping, workflow analysis, and system impact assessments.
  • Partner with QA and development teams during design, build, testing, and release phases.
  • Create documentation including BRD, FRD, Use Cases, Data Dictionaries, and Process Maps.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and stakeholder approvals.
  • Support UAT planning, test case validation, and production rollout readiness.

 

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CFA (Level 1), or CSPO are a plus.
  • 8+ years of Business Analyst experience
  • Must have experience in Banking domain Services (wealth Management - must).
  • Solid Wealth Management / Investment / Portfolio Management domain knowledge (e.g., Mutual Funds, ETFs, Managed Accounts, Advisory Platforms, Portfolio Performance).
  • Strong experience with Agile methodology (writing user stories, backlog grooming, sprint ceremonies).
  • Hands-on experience with process modeling, data analysis, and translating business concepts into technical requirements.
  • Experience working with CRM / Client Lifecycle / KYC / Regulatory Compliance workflows.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Portfolio Accounting / Performance Measurement / OMS/PMS systems.
  • Exposure to SQL for basic data query and validation.
  • Experience in Canadian Banking ecosystem.
