Role: QA Lead / Software Tester Lead/ Functional Tester Lead (10+ Years of experience)

Location: Toronto, ON (Downtown) — Hybrid (3 days/week Onsite)

Type: 6+ Months Contract (Possible Extension)

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior QA / QA Lead / Automation Test Lead / Functional Test Lead to oversee testing strategy, planning, execution, and coordination across project teams. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end QA planning and delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Define test strategy, test approach, effort estimation, and resource planning.
• Review and ensure quality of test cases, test reports, and test metrics.
• Drive defect management and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate across business, development, product, and PMO teams.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members.
• Represent QA in status meetings and stakeholder reviews.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of QA testing experience with at least 3–4 years in QA Lead capacity.
• Strong expertise in manual testing, API testing, regression planning.
• Strong experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive testing independently and ensure quality delivery.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of automation frameworks (Selenium/Cypress) is beneficial.
• Experience working in Financial Services / Banking / Insurance is a plus.
