Role: SMT Test EPM
Location: Austin, TX/ Cupertino, CA (Onsite- Locals Only)

We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Project Manager – Electrical Systems & Protocols with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on project management experience and a solid foundation in electrical design and industry-standard communication protocols such as USB 3.2, USB-PD, DisplayPort, PCIe, I2C, and SPI. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of electrical schematics, layouts, test planning, and be comfortable working with Python for automation or analysis tasks.
· Lead and manage end-to-end electrical and protocol-based hardware projects from planning through execution and delivery.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, QA, and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
· Create, manage, and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
· Interpret and review electrical schematics and layouts for accuracy and functionality.
· Develop and oversee test plans for validating hardware interfaces and communication protocols.
· Coordinate and conduct protocol-level testing of interfaces such as USB 3.2, USB-PD, DisplayPort, PCIe, I2C, and SPI.
· Utilize Python for test automation, data analysis, or tool development to streamline validation processes.
· Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with technical leads.
· Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and leadership.
· Drive continuous improvement in project execution and technical documentation.
Must haves:
2+ years of project management experience
Electrical schematics and layout, Test Plans and Working knowledge of USB 3.2, USB-PD, Display Port, PCIe, I2C, SPI technologies and protocols, and design
