Job Title: Benchtop Lead
Location: Boston, MA (100% Onsite)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Benchtop Lead to oversee laboratory operations and support day-to-day activities involving benchtop instruments and workflows. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience managing laboratory equipment, leading small teams, ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety protocols, and supporting scientific research or diagnostic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all benchtop instruments and lab workflows.
- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Supervise and coordinate work across a small team of lab technicians or scientists.
- Develop, update, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support assay development, experiments, or production processes.
- Track inventory and ensure availability of lab supplies and reagents.
- Maintain detailed documentation of lab activities, instrument logs, and maintenance records.
- Train new team members on equipment use and lab procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a laboratory environment with hands-on benchtop instrumentation.
- Experience leading or mentoring a small lab-based team.
- Strong understanding of GxP, lab safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in lab documentation and data handling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or research lab.
- Familiarity with automation, LIMS systems, or electronic lab notebooks (ELNs).
- Experience supporting R&D or clinical workflows.
