Role: Business Development Manager (North America)
Location: USA/Canada
Role Description: Full-time role located in USA /Canada. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s sales and marketing strategy in company's brands or private label for North America. The Business Development Manager will identify & appoint new distributors for company's brands, new business opportunities in private label business, build relationships with clients and partners, and negotiate contracts with both new and existing customers.
Primary Purpose of the role: To lead sales and distribution for the organization in North America (USA and Canada)
Main Responsibility:
· To lead the sales planning, development, deployment and achievement of planned targets.
· To handle the existing business as well as generate new business opportunities across North America (USA and Canada)
· To explore and develop new business opportunities beyond the existing channels or products like private label business or targeting other ethnic/speciality channels.
· To build comprehensive market knowledge, trends, and market research database
· To identify distribution gaps in the market and take actions to fill those gaps. Continuously work to increase distribution footprints across the geography
· To motivate, direct and coach distributor sales team to ensure adequate coverage, improved distribution depth and good visibility
· To work with India office for conceptualising, planning and implementing brand promotion cycles along with necessary collaterals
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field. Master’s Degree is preferred
· Minimum of 10 years' experience in business development, sales and marketing, or related field.
· Proven track record of scaling business in North America specially in mainstream channel
· Excellent networking with top clients & distributors with proven track record of meeting sales targets and generating revenue.
· Experience in the food/FMCG industry in North America is a must.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
· Willingness to travel (within USA and Canada) up to 50% of the time
