Job title: Cloudflare WAF Engineer

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Cloudflare WAF Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies and rules to protect applications from OWASP top 10 threats, bots, and DDoS attacks. The role involves working closely with security, DevOps, and application teams to optimize Cloudflare configurations, analyze traffic patterns, and respond to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain Cloudflare WAF policies, custom rules, and rate limiting.
• Monitor traffic and tune WAF settings to reduce false positives and optimize performance.
• Implement bot management, DDoS mitigation, and threat intelligence features.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to integrate Cloudflare security.
• Troubleshoot issues related to WAF blocking, challenge pages, and edge performance.

Requirements:

• Experience with Cloudflare WAF and CDN features.
• Strong understanding of web security, HTTP/S protocols, and OWASP vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
• Knowledge of DNS, SSL/TLS, and Zero Trust policies is a plus.
