Job Title: Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) Payroll Consultant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) Payroll Consultant with experience in complex, project-based environments like EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) industries. The consultant will lead and support payroll system implementations, enhancements, and integrations aligned with labor costing, project tracking, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead or support the implementation, optimization, and support of the JDE E1 Payroll module.
· Configure and maintain payroll processes including time entry, gross-to-net calculations, deductions, garnishments, and tax reporting.
· Align payroll processes with EPC-specific needs, including project-based labor costing, union payroll processing, and labor compliance reporting.
· Integrate payroll with Job Cost, HR, Project Accounting, and Finance modules for labor cost allocation and reporting.
· Collaborate with finance, HR, and operations to define payroll requirements and ensure accurate mappings across systems.
· Design and implement solutions for multi-state payroll, union rules, prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll reporting.
· Conduct end-to-end testing, including UAT, SIT, and support parallel runs to validate payroll calculations.
· Develop documentation, conduct training sessions for payroll/HR teams, and provide post-go-live support.
· Participate in year-end processing, tax updates, W-2/1099 generation, and payroll audits.
· Ensure compliance with US federal and state payroll laws, including ACA, FLSA, and tax regulations.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Overall IT Experience: 10-13+ Years
· 5+ years of hands-on experience as a JD Edwards (JDE) Payroll Functional Consultant.
· Strong command of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Payroll module.
· Domain knowledge in EPC industry, with understanding of project labor costing, time tracking systems, and union payroll.
· Experience integrating payroll with Job Cost (JCAT), HR, General Ledger (GL), and Project Accounting.
· Familiarity with One View Reporting, BI Publisher, or other reporting tools for payroll/labor cost reports.
· Understanding of multi-currency, intercompany transactions, and tax setup for payroll.
· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, HR, project controls).
· Experience supporting payroll compliance in regulated labor environments (e.g., public works, government contracts).
· Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in HRIS, Accounting, Business, or related field.
· Experience working in project-centric industries like EPC, Construction, or Oil & Gas.
· Familiarity with JD Edwards upgrades, ESUs, and tools release processes.
· Experience with external payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, Ceridian) and interface integrations.
· JDE Certifications (if any) are a plus.
