Job Title: Splunk Observability & AIOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Splunk Observability & AIOps Engineer to join our team in Jersey City, NJ on an onsite contract basis. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in architecting, building, and managing Enterprise Observability and AIOps platforms, with strong hands-on experience in Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk Cloud, Splunk ITSI, and Datadog.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design and implement end-to-end Enterprise Observability and AIOps solutions.

·         Build integrations across monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems using tools like Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk Cloud, Splunk ITSI, and Datadog.

·         Develop and maintain dashboards, alert rules, and correlation searches in Splunk and other observability platforms.

·         Drive automation and intelligence into operations using AIOps capabilities, including predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and event correlation.

·         Work with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure monitoring coverage across applications, infrastructure, and services.

·         Optimize ingestion and processing of logs, metrics, and traces from various sources into Splunk and related platforms.

·         Implement and maintain runbooks, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for observability practices.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·         Overall IT Experience: 9-12+ Years

·         5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or Observability roles.

·         Strong expertise in Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk ITSI.

·         Hands-on experience with Datadog in an enterprise environment.

·         Deep understanding of monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and telemetry collection.

·         Experience in designing and implementing AIOps use cases, including event correlation, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.

·         Ability to integrate observability platforms with CI/CD pipelines and ITSM tools.

·         Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architectures.

·         Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Splunk or Datadog certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Architect, Datadog Certified).

·         Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

·         Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

·         Prior experience in financial services or banking environments is a plus.
