Job Description

Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Engineer provides technical assistance and support for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, as well as installing, maintaining, and upgrading desktop systems.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Providing technical support to end users for desktop systems, software, and hardware

- Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop operating systems and software applications

- Troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues

- Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues

- Setting up and configuring new desktop systems for users

- Performing regular system upgrades and maintenance tasks

- Collaborating with other IT support teams to resolve complex technical issues

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

- 2+ years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk role

- Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems

- Experience with desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician are a plus
