Job title: Desktop Support Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting end users with technical issues related to their desktop computers and other hardware devices. You will provide timely and effective support to ensure smooth operations within the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Provide technical support and assistance to end users for desktop hardware and software related issues

- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on desktop computers

- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications

- Set up and deploy new desktop computers and peripherals

- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on desktop systems

- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure seamless integration of desktop systems with network infrastructure

- Document and track support tickets and resolutions

- Train end users on proper use of desktop systems and software

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

- 2+ years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk role

- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac OS)

- Experience with desktop imaging, deployment, and provisioning

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) preferred
