Job Title: Release Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Release Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all release-related activities within a project or program. They work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, schedule, and execute releases in alignment with project goals and timelines. The Release Project Manager ensures the smooth and successful delivery of software releases to customers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and maintain release plans and schedules.
2. Coordinate release activities with stakeholders across different teams.
3. Manage risks and issues related to releases.
4. Communicate release status and updates to project teams.
5. Facilitate release retrospectives to identify opportunities for improvement.
6. Ensure compliance with release management processes and standards.
7. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure release readiness.
8. Coordinate deployment activities and post-release support.
9. Implement release management best practices and tools.
10. Drive continuous improvement in release processes and technologies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP)
- 3+ years of experience in release management
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Jira, Microsoft Project)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
