Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled GIS Tester to join our team and ensure the accuracy and reliability of geographic information system (GIS) software and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring high-quality GIS products.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Test GIS software and applications for functionality, accuracy, and reliability.
2. Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure GIS products meet quality standards.
3. Collaborate with developers and project managers to identify and resolve defects.
4. Generate test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
5. Stay current on GIS technology trends and best practices.
6. Provide support for GIS users and assist with troubleshooting technical issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in geography, geospatial science, computer science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in software testing, preferably in a GIS environment.
3. Strong knowledge of GIS principles, tools, and technologies.
4. Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
