Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Core Network SME with strong expertise in wireless packet core technologies across 5G, LTE, and 3G environments. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across packet core, IP, and access networks, including design, integration, validation, operations, troubleshooting, performance analysis, automation, and new technology introduction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support design, instantiation, integration, and validation activities, including HLD, LLD, IP Flow, MOP, TOL, and ATP documentation.
• Support implementation and testing of wireless packet core platforms.
• Operate and maintain packet core nodes and perform daily operational checks.
• Troubleshoot, isolate, resolve, and escalate issues affecting packet core and packet data services.
• Use cloud and virtualization technologies to automate workflows and manage CNF/VNF platform lifecycles.
• Perform end-to-end testing, integration validation, KPI reporting, and platform troubleshooting.
• Act as a top-tier technical resource for fault identification, isolation, analysis, and resolution across IP and access networks.
• Perform detailed performance and fault analysis and recommend resolution strategies.
• Configure, manage, and maintain IP and access network elements.
• Support change-control activities, including impact analysis, MOP reviews, implementation, and verification.
• Design and implement network automation using in-house and open-source tools.
• Develop and review network tools and scripts and identify automation opportunities through data-driven analysis.
• Support seamless introduction of new technology platforms and services into network operations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve logical and physical network design issues.
• Maintain accurate network design, operational, and support documentation.

Wireless Packet Core Platforms

• 5G Standalone Core (5GC): AMF, SMF, UPF
• Evolved Packet Core (EPC): MME, PGW, SGW, HSS, ePDG

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Networking, Telecommunications, or Technology.
• Proven experience working in a service provider environment.
• Strong knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, routing, subnetting, and network protocols.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP and IP packet routing.
• Strong knowledge of OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, MPLS VPN, and multicast.
• Hands-on experience with Nokia 7750 SR and 7210 SAS platforms, TiMOS/SR OS, and 5620 NSP/CPAM.
• Experience with Nokia 7360 XGS-PON and 5520 AMS, or equivalent vendor OLT platforms.
• Strong knowledge of network security and DDoS mitigation technologies.
• Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership and coordinate resolution of complex network issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within structured, cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills & Certifications

• Experience with Splunk and Grafana for data analytics and log parsing.
• NRS-II+ certification.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification.
• Experience with network automation, scripting, and data-driven operational improvements.

Required Skills
