The Scheduling Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in project planning, scheduling software, and collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather schedule data.
Analyze project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals.
Update schedules regularly to reflect progress, changes, and delays.
Monitor critical paths, resource allocations, and risks affecting schedules.
Generate reports, dashboards, and forecasts for management and stakeholders.
Support claims analysis, time impact analysis (TIA), and delay reporting.
Provide recommendations for schedule recovery and optimization.
Ensure schedules comply with contractual requirements.
Collaborate with cost engineers and planners for integrated project controls.
Bachelorโs degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
2โ5 years of scheduling/planning experience (construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects preferred).
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling software.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction processes.
PMP, PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or equivalent certification preferred.
