The Surgery Center Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operations of the ambulatory surgery center (ASC). This role ensures regulatory compliance, staff coordination, financial oversight, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence. The administrator works closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and safe surgical care.
Direct day-to-day operations of the surgery center including scheduling, staffing, supply management, and facility maintenance
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including CMS, AAAHC, Joint Commission, and OSHA
Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and cost-saving initiatives
Oversee credentialing of medical staff and ensure licensure compliance
Implement policies and procedures that promote patient safety and efficient workflows
Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure best clinical practices
Foster strong relationships with physicians, staff, vendors, and patients
Supervise hiring, training, and performance evaluations of all personnel
Monitor patient satisfaction and address service concerns proactively
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in surgical center or healthcare facility management
In-depth knowledge of ASC regulations, billing/reimbursement, and infection control
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with EMR/EHR systems, supply chain, and accreditation processes
