Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Job Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for conducting behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and overseeing the implementation of applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs for individuals with behavioral challenges. The BCBA works with clients, families, and other team members to create and maintain comprehensive behavior support plans that promote positive behavior change and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting functional behavior assessments to identify target behaviors and their underlying causes
- Developing individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment findings
- Providing ongoing monitoring and evaluation of behavior intervention plans
- Training and supervising behavior technicians and other staff members in the implementation of ABA techniques
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to create integrated treatment plans
- Communicating regularly with clients, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and progress towards treatment goals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, or a related field
- Board certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges
- Strong skills in behavior assessment, behavior intervention planning, and data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
