Job Title: Senior Protection Engineer
Job Summary:
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Protection Engineer to join our team. The Senior Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining protection systems for electrical power systems. This role will also involve collaborating with other engineers and technicians to ensure the highest level of system reliability and functionality.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop protection schemes for electrical power systems
2. Perform relay settings and coordination studies
3. Conduct system protection testing and commissioning
4. Analyze data to identify system vulnerabilities and propose solutions
5. Provide technical support to field personnel during system emergencies
6. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in protection engineering
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
8. Mentor junior engineers and provide training as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
2. 5+ years of experience in protection engineering
3. Proficiency in relay settings and coordination
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
7. Familiarity with power system analysis software
8. Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
