Job Title: IT Major Incident Management Specialist

Job Summary:

As an IT Major Incident Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all major incidents that arise within the IT infrastructure of an organization. You will lead the resolution efforts, communicate with all stakeholders, and ensure that incidents are handled efficiently to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Lead and coordinate the response to major incidents, including identifying the root cause and implementing necessary solutions

- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including IT teams, senior management, and end users, to provide updates on incident status and resolution progress

- Document all major incidents and post-mortem analysis to identify areas for improvement and prevent future incidents

- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to ensure a consistent and effective response to major incidents

- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement changes and improvements based on incident learnings

- Provide training and guidance to team members on incident management best practices

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT incident management or related field

- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework, specifically Incident Management processes

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work under pressure and lead cross-functional teams during high-stress situations

- Experience with incident management tools and software

- IT certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, or CISSP are a plus
