Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team in Ruthven, IA. The Speech Therapist will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with communication and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for helping patients improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide therapy sessions to patients, working on speech, language, and cognitive skills
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and exercises
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Iowa state license as a Speech Therapist
- Prior experience working with patients with communication and swallowing disorders preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
