Job Title: Tablet Engineer (TSS-MOB-OPS-ENG-12)
Job Summary:
The Tablet Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining tablet applications for our organization. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of tablet-related projects. The individual should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality tablet solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Design and develop tablet applications according to project requirements.
2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of tablet applications.
3. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of tablet applications.
4. Update and enhance tablet applications based on user feedback and emerging technologies.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and industry trends in tablet technologies.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and requirements for tablet solutions.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs encountered in tablet applications.
8. Integrate tablet applications with backend systems, APIs, and databases.
9. Ensure the security and privacy of user data within tablet applications.
10. Develop and maintain technical documentation for tablet applications.
11. Coordinate with support teams to provide assistance and resolve user inquiries related to tablet applications.
12. Assist in the training and mentorship of junior tablet engineers.
13. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
14. Provide technical expertise and guidance during the evaluation and selection of tablet-related technologies.
15. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for upcoming tablet projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in developing tablet applications for iOS and Android platforms.
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Swift, and/or Kotlin.
4. Extensive knowledge of tablet app frameworks and popular libraries.
5. Familiarity with mobile application development lifecycle and best practices.
6. Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
7. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and automated testing frameworks.
8. Proficient in version control systems, such as Git.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
11. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
12. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools.
13. Prior experience in UI/UX design for tablet applications is a plus.
14. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new tools quickly.
15. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for mobile applications.
