Job Title: Sr. Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with Wind Turbine Experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with Wind Turbine experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical or mechanical systems specifically related to wind turbine technology. The individual in this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of wind turbines, while also contributing to the growth and innovation of renewable energy solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Design and develop electrical or mechanical systems for wind turbines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Perform detailed analysis, testing, and evaluation of wind turbine components to optimize performance and reliability.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, technicians, and other engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
4. Conduct site visits to assess wind turbine functionality, diagnose issues, and propose innovative solutions for improvement.
5. Provide technical support and expertise during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases of wind turbine projects.
6. Create and review technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and drawings for wind turbine systems.
7. Stay updated with the latest advancements in wind turbine technology and renewable energy practices, and apply them to enhance overall system performance.
8. Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure the use of high-quality components and materials in wind turbines.
9. Identify and resolve electrical or mechanical issues and failures, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency of wind turbines.
10. Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive and corrective measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with wind turbine operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience working as an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer specifically within the Wind Turbine industry.
3. Strong knowledge of wind turbine systems, components, and related technologies.
4. Proficiency in using design software and tools for electrical or mechanical engineering.
5. Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough testing, analysis, and troubleshooting of wind turbine systems.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
9. Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
10. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within the wind turbine industry.
