Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (Aerospace Domain)
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer specializing in the Aerospace domain. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing complex network infrastructures within the aerospace industry. The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability, scalability, and security, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan, design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network architectures within the aerospace domain.
- Evaluate network performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for optimization.
- Conduct network capacity planning and recommend enhancements to ensure scalability.
- Collaborate with various teams to define network requirements for new aerospace projects.
- Configure and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance, analyze data, and provide reports to management.
- Implement security measures and protocols to protect network infrastructure from unauthorized access.
- Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and implement new network technologies.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation of network designs, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineering staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in the aerospace industry.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN).
- Proficient in designing and implementing network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and wireless.
- Strong experience with network security technologies and protocols (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of cloud networking technologies and concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent, are preferred.
