Job title: SCADA Support Engineer
Job summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated SCADA Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for the operation and maintenance of SCADA systems and devices. As a SCADA Support Engineer, you will be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity, as well as monitoring system performance and ensuring optimal reliability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide technical support for SCADA systems and associated devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updating software and firmware
• Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they occur
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement system enhancements
• Document system configurations and changes made to support system operations
• Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders
• Follow established security protocols to maintain the integrity of the system and data
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience supporting SCADA systems
• Knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and VLANs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java is a plus
