The OLAP Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts, as well as experience with OLAP technologies such as MS Analysis Services (SSAS) and Mondrian.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and building OLAP solutions to support business intelligence and data analysis needs.
Creating and maintaining data models for OLAP solutions, including star and snowflake schemas.
Collaborating with other teams to understand and translate their data analysis requirements into OLAP solutions.
Automating the deployment and scaling of OLAP solutions.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to OLAP solutions.
Continuously improving and optimizing OLAP solutions.
Maintaining documentation for all processes implemented
Qualifications:
Strong experience with OLAP technologies such as MS Analysis Services (SSAS) and Mondrian.
Strong understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
Experience with SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing design.
Experience with BI reporting and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Strong understanding of security and compliance best practices in data warehousing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
