Role: QE Coach / Architect - Automation testing (With Backend Development background)

Role Overview: Quality Engineering (QE) Coach / Automation testing Architect to drive the adoption of modern quality practices across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will not only possess deep technical expertise but also the ability to coach teams in applying shift-left, DevSecOps, and continuous testing principles. The role involves leveraging AI agents for intelligent automation, promoting contract testing for microservices, and ensuring alignment with enterprise QE transformation goals.

Required Experience:
- Must have 13-18 Years of experience in Automation Testing / QA Testing (Backend testing).
- Must have basic understanding of AI/ML Concepts.
- Experience in backend development using Java/C# (Additional/Preferred).
- Hands-on experience in BDD frameworks (Cucumber) and UI automation (Playwright), AccelQ, Selenium.
- Proven experience in API automation for REST and GraphQL services.
- Strong background in contract testing tools (e.g., Pact, WireMock) and mocking strategies.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience in AI-driven test automation or familiarity with AI agents for quality enablement.
- Demonstrated ability to coach teams, influence best practices, and scale automation maturity across an enterprise.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a focus on driving quality as a shared responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor development and QA teams on implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
- Leverage AI agents to accelerate automation development, test data generation, and root cause analysis, enabling smarter and faster test cycles.
- Architect and enhance automation frameworks supporting UI, API, and backend testing, including integration with AI-powered testing tools.
- Lead the implementation of consumer-driven contract testing frameworks to improve service reliability and reduce integration dependencies.
- Collaborate with teams to design mocking and service virtualization strategies for early integration and faster feedback loops.
- Drive shift-left adoption by embedding testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Promote containerized testing environments leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for scalability and reproducibility.
- Work independently with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define, implement, and measure quality goals across projects.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to align automation strategies with enterprise modernization objectives.
